Aurangabad / Mumbai: Maharashtra on Wednesday reported 43,697 new Covid-19 patients and 49 fatalities in a single day, taking the state’s cumulative case tally to 73,25,825 and the toll to 1,41,934, respectively, a health bulletin of the state government said.
Also, 214 fresh cases of new Omicron variant were spotted in the state today, taking the count of this cases to 2,074.

On the other hand, 46,591 patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 69,15,407.
The state’s recovery rate improved to 94.4 per cent while the fatality rate declined to 1.93 per cent.
There are now 2,64,708 active cases in the state, added the bulletin.
