Imphal: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Monday appointed party leader Jairam Ramesh as senior All India Congress Committee (AICC) observer for Manipur to oversee strategies and coordination for the upcoming election in the state.

Congress also appointed P Chidambaram as an observer for Goa.

“Congress president has appointed Jairam Ramesh as senior AICC election observer to Manipur to oversee election strategies and coordination for the upcoming election in the state,” informed general secretary (organization) KC Venugopal.
