New Delhi: The Congress party on Monday launched a fresh attack at the Centre over daily hike in prices of petrol and diesel, and termed it as “fuel loot” instalment of the Narendra Modi-led government.
“Fuel ‘loot’ new instalment. Petrol and diesel prices rose by 40 paise per litre on Monday. In 14 days, fuel prices increased by Rs 8.40 per litre. Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) also increased by Rs 2.50 per kg. Vote to BJP means mandate to ‘inflation’,” Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala wrote in a tweet in Hindi.
On Monday, the prices of petrol and diesel were again raised by 40 paise per litre. In Delhi, now petrol cost Rs 103.81 per litre and diesel Rs 97.07 per litre. The Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) raised price of CNG in Delhi by Rs 2.5 per kg to Rs 64.11 per kg.
