Mumbai: Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief spokesperson Atul Londhe on Friday alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is promoting the party among school children under the guise of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme.

In his statement, Londhe said Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the students by conducting the program ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ for the school children of the country. While this was a govenrment programme, BJP office bearers were present along with students in many schools of the state.

Londhe further said that ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme was directed to be shown in schools across the country. Even in the absence of electricity and internet facilities in rural areas, the government decreed that the principals should show the programme to the children.

The education department of Maharashtra had also given such instructions. Schools were roped in to show the Prime Minister’s programme live, he pointed out.

What was the need for BJP leaders, functionaries and workers to go to school and participate with the students in spite of the government program and What is the use of political leaders in school children, he asked.

Londhe also said that BJP leaders and party office bearers should at least think about the future of children while promoting and spreading BJP by participating in such government programs with students.
