WASHINGTON: US President Joe Biden will announce an extension of the increased US military presence in Poland while in Madrid for a NATO leaders summit, NBC News reported, citing a European and several US officials.
Biden is set to unveil the extension, as well as changes to the US military’s presence in the Baltic nations, as part of his trip to Europe for G7 and NATO summits, two defense officials, and two former administration officials and a European official reportedly said. Biden could also announce the addition of two more ships to the US Navy’s presence at Naval Station Rota in Spain, the report added.
