Bhutan King’s messenger meets Sikkim CM

Gangtok: Bhutan King’s emissary and Dzongdag (District Governor) of Samtse, Minjur Dorjee, called on Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang here on Wednesday to express sympathy to the families affected by the recent floods in the state.


The District Governor, on behalf of the King of Bhutan, condoled the deaths and expressed sympathy with the affected families.


King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchu sent gifts to the CM, who expressed his gratitude for the concern expressed for the Sikkimese people.


“The CM enquired about the health of the King and expressed gratitude for the prayers and concern shown by His Majesty and the Governor of Samtse for the affected people here.CM also stressed on the shared cordial cultural ties between Sikkim and Bhutan.
