Imphal: Health & IPR Minister, Dr. S. Ranjan Singh inaugurated Barrack Type Quarter and Digital X-Ray of Community Health Center (CHC), Khumbong, on Saturday. Director Health Services Manipur, Dr. Kh. Sasheekumar Mangang; SMD, NHM Manipur, Dr. Somorjit Ningombam; Joint Secretary, Health, Y. Suraj Singh and President, BJP Konthoujam Mandal, Lalkanhai Sharma also attended the occasion as president and guests of honour respectively.
Speaking as Chief Guest, Minister, Dr. Ranjan Singh, said that as a pilot project, Digital X-Rays will be introduced in district hospitals and other selective health centers of the state. Digitization of the conventional X-Ray of PHC Khumbong will now benefit the people of Khumbong and its surroundings. There are around 53 health centers with X-ray facilities. These centers of the state will have digitized X-rays within the period of one year. The Government is also planning to install Ultra Sound machines at the CHCs, he informed.
Minister maintained that with the advancement of medical technology a system has been set to maintain the medical records in a simpler way. Ayushman Bharat Health Account has been introduced and it will be made functional soon. Quality check and assurance of the free diagnostic will be achieved through such process of digitization. Affordable and accessible health care will also be made available as an objective of the Health Department, Minister informed.
He stated that the Government is doing its best to develop all sectors. There has been development in many sectors during the recent past. The effort of the Government is for the survival of our future. Health cards has tremendously benefited people. It has become a boon. The Government is working day and night for the welfare of the public, the minister added.
Later, the minister also inaugurated the Health & Wellness Center, Heigrujam. CMO, Imphal East, Dr. L. Joykumar Singh, officials and staff of the Health Department, Doctors, Nurses and staff of CHC Khumbong, ASHAs, local leaders and others also attended the inaugural occasion.
