Assam’s COVID-19 death toll crosses 2000-mark

In Assam, 44,057 tests were conducted on May 14 of which 4,078 persons tested COVID-19 positive, which brings the day's positivity rate to 9.26%.

The active COVID-19 cases in Assam have gone up to 41,978. Further, 4,168 patients in total were discharged from various hospitals across the state.

The highest number of COVID-19 cases were reported in Guwahati, Kamrup Metro district which is 1,107. Other high case-load districts (with maximum numbers of new cases reported in a day) include Dibrugarh (352), Kamrup Rural (323), and Nagaon (224).
