Imphal: Marking a significant milestone in national security consciousness, Assam Rifles organised commemorative programmes on the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor at Keithelmanbi Garrison, Imphal West District and Ultimate College, Churachandpur. These initiatives were designed to sensitise young minds about the strategic achievements of the Indian Armed Forces while highlighting contemporary security challenges and the importance of national vigilance.
At Keithelmanbi Garrison, 80 students and four teachers from Assam Rifles Public School participated in an informative session featuring a detailed presentation and a specially curated video on the planning and execution of Operation Sindoor. The session exposed the nefarious activities and hostile propaganda of adversarial elements, educating the youth on the necessity of informed awareness. Simultaneously, at Ultimate College in Churachandpur, approximately 65 students engaged in a session that emphasised the core values of courage, sacrifice and discipline. The discussions provided broader insights into the role of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles in maintaining regional stability. Across both locations, the programmes bridged the gap between the military and educational institutions, providing a comprehensive perspective to students aspiring for a career in the uniform. Around 16 officials and troops facilitated the interactions, which encouraged students to discuss national security issues and integration. The events concluded with a strong message of patriotism and unity, reaffirming the commitment of Assam Rifles to empowering the younger generation and fostering civil-military cooperation through meaningful community outreach
