Imphal: A lot of youth in the Bishnupur district who are internally displaced due to the ongoing clashes in Manipur aspire to become successful in life by overcoming the present difficulties faced by them.
One such individual is Ms Puinabati Angom resident of Torbung, who is presently in a relief camp in Bishnupur district. Recognising her determination and talent, Assam Rifles trained her with qualified instructors and the best available facilities for her to clear the competitive exams and recruitment rallies.
The individual cleared the recently concluded Agniveer Recruitment Rally in January 2024 and will be joining the ranks of the Indian Army soon.
To recognise her hard work and determination and also to motivate youth in the Bishnupur district, Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) organised a felicitation ceremony for the individual along with her parents at Bishnupur district, Manipur on 22 February 2024.
