Kamjong: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Assam Rifles organized a heart-warming community outreach event titled ‘A Day with Company Commander’ at Phaikoh Village in Kamjong District on 05 September 2026. The programme brought together approximately 300 students, 20 teachers, and 150 villagers, providing a warm, informal platform to honor the educators of Government Primary School, Phaikoh, while acknowledging their invaluable contribution to shaping the area’s youth.
Assam Rifles extended complete logistical and organizational support to ensure the seamless execution of the event. During the interactive session, the Company Commander encouraged the young minds to pursue their education with utmost dedication, uphold discipline, and cultivate essential traits of leadership and civic responsibility. The interaction also allowed the students, teachers, and local villagers to closely engage with Assam Rifles personnel, gaining meaningful insights into the Force’s vital role and responsibilities in the border region.
By engaging with a broad cross-section of the local populace, the initiative successfully fostered mutual understanding, deep trust, and lasting goodwill between the security forces and the community.
