Guwahati: The spread of Covid19 infection in Assam is showing a slight declining trend with 6,897 new cases logged on Friday.
The positivity rate stood at 12.13 per cent.
Out of the total new cases logged in Assam on Friday, 1,561 cases were reported from Guwahati city. The new cases were detected after conducting tests of 56,849 samples.
Moreover, 15 persons lost their lives to the COVID-19 infection in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 recovery rate in Assam currently stands at 92.31 per cent.
