Aryan Khan and 7 others remanded to judicial custody for 14 days

While moving the remand application seeking further custody NCB said that they are still conducting raids and anyone arrested in those raids would be needed to be confronted with the present accused.

Mumbai: A local court here Thursday remanded Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, and seven others to judicial custody for 14 days for their alleged involvement in drug case.

They were produced before Killa court today.

While moving the remand application seeking further custody NCB said that they are still conducting raids and anyone arrested in those raids would be needed to be confronted with the present accused.

“We have arrested one Achit Kumar and one foreign national and WhatsApp chats of these accused clearly shows the nexus between them, so custody is needed,” according to NCB’s remand copy.

The court was also told that the the phones of Aryan Khan and others were sent for forensic analysis. Based on last night’s seizures hence the custody of present accused be extended.

The court however turned down the agency plea and remanded the accused in judicial custody.

While opposing the prosecution’s plea, Aryan lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that enough time was granted to agency to conduct a probe and no new evidence has been found against his client therefore he be remanded to judicial custody which was accepted by the court.

Meanwhile court will hear the bail plea of Aryan and others tomorrow morning.
