Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh has reported 13 fresh COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours, taking its tally of confirmed cases to 54,693, a senior health official said.
On the contrary, 37 COVID patients have recuperated in the period that upped the total number of recovered cases to 54,011, he said.
Of the new infections, Itanagar Capital Complex, Tirap and Upper Siang contracted three cases each, while one case each came from Lower Dibang Valley, Tawang and West Kameng districts.
Seven of the total cases were found to be asymptomatic and six symptomatic.
The state has 405 active COVID-19 cases, including 354 recuperating under home isolation. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.75 per cent.
So far, 277 persons have died due to Covid-19 infections in the state.
Arunachal has tested just 1208 samples for COVID-19 that took its cumulative figure to 11,48,853.
Seventy-five per cent of the 18-plus populations in Arunachal Pradesh have atleast taken the first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 43 per cent have been fully vaccinated, according to figures available with the state’s Health Services Directorate.
The State has so far administered 11.91 lakh vaccine doses to the various categories of beneficiaries, while over eight lakh GOI-supplied vaccine doses are available with the department, the official informed.
