Arunachal’s Covid count rises to 66,480

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh’s Covid19 tally mounted to 66,480 after 33 people have tested positive for the infection during the past 24 hours, a senior health official said.

On the other hand, 36 persons recuperated from the disease in the period that taking the total number of recoveries to 66,042.

Following this, the state’s active caseload slightly declined to 142, State Surveillance Officer-IDSP Dr Lobsang Jampa said.

The day’s positivity rate was 14.16 percent against the previous day’s 11.23 percent, he said.

Of the fresh cases, 11 came from Kamle, five from West Kameng, and three each from Lower Subansiri and Namsai.

Ten of the total cases turned out to be asymptomatic and 23 symptomatic. The new cases came off 233 samples tested during the past 24 hours.
The state’s Covid toll remained at 296, he said.
