Arunachal reports 59 new COVID cases and 82 recoveries

With the addition of the new cases, the state’s tally of confirmed cases mounted to 53,663, according to a bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services here.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday reported 59 fresh COVID-19 cases and 82 recoveries.

Among the new cases, the most numbers were reported form Itanagar Capital Complex which registered 19 cases, while Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley and West Kameng districts, reported six cases.

Thirty-two of the total cases turned out to be asymptomatic and 27 were symptomatic, the bulletin said.

On the other hand, with 82 recoveries in the last 24 hours the total number of people having recovered rose to 52,811 and the active caseload dipped to 583.

The recovery rate has further improved to 98.41 per cent. So far, 269 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 infections in the state.

Arunachal Pradesh on Friday tested 3,061 samples for COVID-19 that took its cumulative figure to 10,89,329.

Meanwhile, 6,459 people have taken COVID-19 vaccine doses on Friday. The state has, so far, administered 10,27,517 vaccine jabs to the people since the countrywide inoculation drive was rolled out on January 16 last.
