Itanagar: As many 426 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s infection tally to 37, 531, while the death toll rose to 179 as two more succumbed to the virus.
According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services, out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 96, followed by East Siang 56 and West Kameng 44.
Barring 178, all the patients are asymptomatic.
As per the bulletin, of the two death reported, one was from Lohit and another from Changlang.The bodies were handed over to the family members as per Covid-19 SOP.
On the other hand, 267 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 34,234.
Active cases tally stands at 3,118.
