Itanagar: Maintaining its steep decline in the rate of daily COVID-19 infections, Arunachal Pradesh recorded more recoveries than new cases during the past 24 hours.
The state witnessed 24 persons getting recuperated from the viral infection in the period that took the total number of recovered cases to 54,450, a senior health department official said.
In contrast, the state’s tally of confirmed cases mounted to 54,954 as 12 more people have tested positive for the virus across the state, he informed.
Itanagar Capital Complex and West Kameng reported three cases each, while two cases each came from Lower Subansiri and West Siang. Tawang and Pakke Kessang detected one each.
Seven of the total cases were found to be asymptomatic and five symptomatic.
The state has 224 active cases at the moment. West Kameng leads the tally with 53 cases, followed by Lower Subansiri at 24 and Namsai at 22.
Arunachal Pradesh has so far registered 280 COVID casualties.
