Arunachal registers 7 fresh COVID cases, one recovery

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh recorded seven more COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours that increased the state’s tally of confirmed cases to 55,313, a senior health official said.

On the contrary, only one person recuperated from the disease in the period that took the total number of recoveries to 54,998, he said, while adding that the state’s active caseload has swelled to 35.

Five of the seven new cases were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex and one each came from Lohit and Namsai districts. Of the total cases, three were found to be asymptomatic and four symptomatic, the official said.

Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh administered as many as 2771 COVID-19 vaccine doses to its eligible people in the last 24 hours, taking its cumulative vaccination coverage past the 14.39-lakh mark.
