Itanagar: As many as 28 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s caseload to 16,948.
Of the fresh new cases, eight were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex , seven from Lower Dibang Valley, five from West Kameng, two each from Namsai, Papum Pare, East Kameng, one each from Leparada and East Siang, s per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Out of the 28 fresh infections, 16 are symptomatic and 12 asymptomatic.
On the other hand, two patients were discharged following recovery from the virus, taking the total recoveries to 16,800.
Active cases stood at 96. Death toll at 56.
