Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar on Wednesday directed the state Health and Family Welfare Department to find ways to push the coverage of Covid-19 vaccination in low performing districts.

Kumar’s direction came during a meeting of the State Steering Committee for Immunisation (SSCI) which was held at the Civil Secretariat here.

It was reported that some districts are going slow in terms of Covid-19 vaccination coverage. Papum Pare (rural), Kamle, Lower Dibang Valley, Upper Subansiri, Kurung Kumey, and Longding are reportedly going slow.

He directed the Secretary, Health and Family Welfare to monitor and oversee the low performing districts and give necessary directions to the concerned Deputy Commissioners (DCs), District Medical Officers (DMOs) and DRCHOs to scale up the coverage.
