Arunachal BJP Kisan Morcha celebrates PM Modi’s birthday as ‘Kisan Jawan Samman Diwas’

The Governor commended the initiatives of the Kisan Morcha and said that with the equal contribution of the farmers and the soldiers, India will be one of the most developed and prosperous nations in the world.

Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kishan Morcha on Friday celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 71st birthday as ‘Kisan Jawan Samman Diwas’ by honouring the farmers and Vir Naris & ex-servicemen across the State.

As part of the celebration, a delegation of the Kishan Morcha led by senior BJP leader and Agriculture Minister Tage Taki called on Governor Brig (Retd) BD Mishra at Raj Bhavan here and felicitated him by presenting a certificate, expressing their gratitude for his sacrifice and commitment towards the nation as a member of Indian Armed Forces.

The Governor commended the initiatives of the Kisan Morcha and said that with the equal contribution of the farmers and the soldiers, India will be one of the most developed and prosperous nations in the world.

He advised the delegation to work hard and commit themselves to realise Prime Minister Modi’s vision of ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’.

On the sidelines of the ‘Kisan-Jawan Samman Diwas’ celebration, the Governor advised the Agriculture Minister to revamp the State Horticulture Farm, Shergaon and Farmer’s Training Centre at Salari in West Kameng district and make them the best institutes of North East by conducting the latest experiments and setting production targets to get the best results from these two important institutes.

Mishra also enquired about the proposed oilseed programmes and advised the Minister for taking up the productivity of oilseed in the public-private-partnership (PPP) modell as it will benefit the local people under the ‘Start-Up’ initiative and generate employment for them.
