Imphal: A combined team of Tengnoupal District Police and commandos, NAB- Manipur and NCB destroyed around 20 acres of illicit poppy plantations at the hill range of Machi under Machi Police Station jurisdiction Friday.
The team was led by Thokchom Vikramjit Singh, SP, Tengnoupal and Watham Basu Singh, SP, NAB and officers consisting RK Saklemba Singh, Addl SP, NAB, M Amit Singh, Addl SP(ops) Moreh, Inspector John Lamkang, OC Tengnoupal and Inspector DK Angrung, OC Machi Police Station.
With this 4546 acres of illegal poppy cultivation have been destroyed so far, said a press note from the PRO, Manipur Police, W Basu.
