Lucknow: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will begin his two-day visit to Lucknow on Friday to launch the BJP’s special membership drive and flag off the party’s assembly poll 2022 campaign vehicles.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who is the UP election in charge and BJP’s state in-charge Radha Mohan Singh along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and state party president Swatantra Deo Singh would be present.
According to the programme announced by the state BJP officials, Shah would be given a rousing welcome at the airport at 11 AM on his arrival from Delhi.
He will address the people and launch the special membership drive at Defense Expo Ground Vrindavan colony.
At the same venue, the Home Minister will flag off the BJP’s campaign vehicles.
Later, he will address the senior party leaders and former MLAs at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. After this, a meeting of in-charges, office bearers and election in-charges will be held at the state party office. After his night stays in Lucknow, Shah will leave for Dehradun on Saturday morning.
