All sporting activities banned in Manipur

Further, the entry of visitors at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex except for officials/staff of YAS, NSU and other departments located at the complex is also banned with immediate effect.

Imphal: All sporting activities which attract allow a large crowd turnout have been banned amidst the second coronavirus outbreak, announced Manipur government Wednesday.

“All sporting activities in the state including any sport related activity at Khuman Lampak Sport Complex and other sport complexes in the districts including privately run/managed sport complexes are banned with immediate effect, said a statement issued by Bobby Waikhom, Commissioner (YAS), Government of Manipur.

Further, the entry of visitors at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex except for officials/staff of YAS, NSU and other departments located at the complex is also banned with immediate effect.

The decision was taken after due consideration the recommendation of the State Consultative Committee of State Disaster Management Authority, it further said.
