New Delhi: The air quality in the national capital plunged to the ‘very poor category from ‘severe’ on Friday, the Centre-run System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) data showed on Friday.
As per the SAFAR’s data read, the overall air quality index (AQI) was clocked at 306.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its forecast said the air quality is likely to improve and remain in the poor category for the next two days.
According to the weather department, the minimum temperature was recorded at nine degrees Celsius on Friday.
The sky will remain clear and the maximum temperature is likely to settle at around 24 degree Celsius, the IMD said.
