New Delhi: In a groundbreaking operation, the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Indian Army executed their first-ever precise para-drop of the Aarogya Maitri Health Cube at an altitude of 15,000 feet.

These critical trauma care cubes were developed indigenously as part of Project BHISHM (Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog Hita and Maitri) and are designed to provide essential medical aid in Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief (HADR) missions.

The IAF used its advanced C-130J Super Hercules tactical transport aircraft to airlift and accurately para-drop the cube, while the Indian Army’s Para Brigade, renowned for its operational expertise, ensured its successful deployment using advanced precision drop systems.

This operation showcased the ability of military assets to deliver vital HADR support, even in the most remote and challenging mountainous areas, highlighting the joint efforts of the Armed Forces and their unwavering commitment as first responders to deliver timely and effective aid.
