Active cases in Manipur drops to 119 Monday

During the same period, the State reported no Covid related death, while 26 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Imphal: With just five persons testing positive out of a total of 930, Manipur’s positivity rate dropped to .5 % in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Monday. During the same period, the State reported no Covid related death, while 26 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the five persons from the general population who tested positive, two are from Kakching and one each from Imphal East, Bishnupur and Ukhrul.  

Meanwhile, 26 persons recovered and were discharged, 22 of them from home isolation, two from CCCs and one each from RIMS and JNIMS. 

For various reasons 108 persons were declared as recovered only on Monday, therefore the total persons recovered is 134 after reconciliation as of March 7. 

The recovery rate of the state stands at 98.37 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 36, 903 out of which 1, 34, 669 have recovered leaving 119 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on March 6, is 227, the cumulative number of doses administered is 27,29,314 (1st dose 15,16, 809, 2nd dose 11,51, 307) and precautionary dose 61,198.
