Tengnoupal: District Administration, Tengnoupal today organizedObservance of Jan Seva Mahakumbh – Panchayat Se Parliament Tak & Culmination as part of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan marking 25 years of public service by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Nartendra Modi at Moreh College, Tengnoupal district.
Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest, Saurabh Yadav IAS, Deputy Commissioner said that today we have gathered here to ensure that not just certain items are distributed, not just certain IT materials are distributed to schools and colleges, but we have gathered here in the spirit of service that we call Seva Sankalp. He stated that people from Moreh college as well as, as to what are the sports facilities that you specifically need in Moreh college. It can be basketball court, football and volley ball court, anything that you feel is needed, he ask them to speak to Principal, Moreh College. We will ensure that to do something on it. He urged the institution heads to come forward with atleast 2 to 5 students each from schools and discuss what we can do to ensure a better from the experiences of the students.
As part of the programme, District Administration handed over IT materials for use of schools to ZEO Tengnoupal. Knapsack Sprayer were distributed to beneficiaries, Paothang Baite, Chief of Tatjang, Otkholun Haokip of Sahei and Thongsei Misao of Moreh ward no. 9.
Prizes of first to fifth position winners of Seva Sankalp Painting competition on Vikshit Manipur were distributed to 1st Nengkhanthem Kipgen of Moreh Govt. Hr. Sec School, 2nd Mangmingou Mate of EMRS, Moreh 3rd Myat Mitra of Netaji Memorial English High School, Moreh 4th Ngulhaothang Guite of EMRS Moreh and 5th Paokai Haokip of Netaji Memorial English High School.
Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) small and secondary and other items were also distribute to about 12 physically challenge/disabled persons.
The programme was a District level culmination which was participated by govt. institutions, officials, volunteers and community stakeholders and presentation of achievements; reaffirmation of commitment to public service. Today’s programme was attended by SDOs Moreh, Tengnoupal, SDC, ZEO, Principal, Moreh collage, students among others.
