Senapati: As part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Utsav 2026, a Seva Setu Abhiyan Camp was organised today by the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Purul, at the Purul Community Hall, SDO Office Complex, Purul, under the supervision of the District Administration, Senapati.

The camp was organised with the objective of bringing government services and welfare schemes closer to the people and ensuring effective last-mile delivery of public services. Various Line Departments participated in the camp and reached out to the people of the Purul Sub-Division, facilitating beneficiary enrolment and verification, documentation, and submission of applications for various government schemes and services.

As part of the programme, one knapsack sprayer was distributed to a beneficiary through the Agriculture Department. Certificates of Appreciation were also presented to the best-performing Anganwadi Centres of Purul and Thingba Khunou through the ICDS Department. In addition, tree saplings were distributed to beneficiaries through the Forest Department, promoting environmental awareness and community participation in plantation activities.

The camp also provided a platform for citizens to interact directly with officials, seek information on various government schemes and services, complete necessary documentation, and submit applications such as Old Age Pension, PMMSY schemes and others. The initiative further aimed to identify eligible beneficiaries who may have been unable to access government schemes and services through regular channels, thereby facilitating their inclusion in various welfare programmes.

The Seva Setu Abhiyan, organised under the broader Seva Sankalp Utsav, underscores the commitment of the District Administration towards citizen-centric governance and effective last-mile delivery of public services. The initiative highlights the importance of coordinated efforts among government departments to strengthen the link between the administration and the people at the grassroots level and ensure that welfare schemes and public services reach the intended beneficiaries in a timely, transparent and accessible manner.
