Bishnupur: District Administration, Bishnupur, in coordination with the Office of the MLA, Kumbi Assembly Constituency, today organised Seva Setu Abhiyan, an outreach camp for Kumbi Assembly Constituency, at Saiton Bazaar as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026.
As part of the camp, more than 20 departments, including Fisheries, Agriculture, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Sericulture, Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), Forest, MSPDCL, Health, DCPO, ICDS, Social Welfare and SBI Kumbi Branch, among others, set up stalls and provided facilities for beneficiary enrolment, verification, documentation and application for various government schemes.
Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, MLA Kumbi AC Sanasam Premchandra Singh stated that the Seva Setu Abhiyan is being organised as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a month-long nationwide campaign being observed from September 17 to October 17, 2026, to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service.
He stated that the Seva Setu Abhiyan aims to bring various government schemes and civic services closer to citizens by providing them in a simple, accessible and timely manner.
During the programme, eligible beneficiaries were provided horticultural inputs, aid and appliances through the Social Welfare Department, nursery plants from the Forest Department and electric bulbs at subsidised rates through MSPDCL.
Officials and department representatives also provided guidance and assistance to citizens in availing the benefits of various government schemes.
The programme was also attended by Additional District Magistrate Shri Toijam Opendro, District Level Officers and officials concerned, among others.
