Kakching: Digital and Financial Literacy Programme under the Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana (AVYAY) was organised by the District Social Welfare Office under the supervision of the District Administration Kakching at Keirak Kangjeibung Laibung in Kakching district as part of the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026.
The programme focused on promoting digital inclusion and financial awareness among elderly citizens by equipping them with essential digital skills and encouraging the safe use of online services. Participants were sensitised on digital payment systems, secure online banking practices and measures to prevent financial fraud and scams.
The elderly participants were specifically advised to safeguard their personal banking credentials, including PINs, passwords and one-time passwords (OTPs), and not disclose them to others.
An interactive session was also conducted, allowing participants to seek clarifications from officials on various aspects of digital services and financial transactions.
Meanwhile, the Zonal Education Office, Kakching under the supervision of the District Administration, organised Rangoli-making, essay-writing and painting competitions at four educational institutions in the district on the theme “My Vision of Viksit Manipur–2047” as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026.
Around 78 students, including 44 boys and 34 girls, participated in the competitions. Students from Excellent Academy, General English School, Keirak Upper Primary School and Yumbimacha Higher Secondary School took part in the activities.
