Chandel: In a dedicated effort to encourage sportsmanship and strengthen social cohesion, Assam Rifles organised a friendly volleyball match with local villagers at Larong Khunao in Chandel District on 25 September 2026. The sporting programme witnessed the active participation of ten Assam Rifles personnel and 20 civilians, who came together in a commendable spirit of friendship and healthy competition. Providing an informal yet constructive environment, the match allowed participants to build personal rapport beyond routine community interactions. Players displayed remarkable coordination, team spirit, and fair play, thereby offering an excellent platform for healthy recreation while motivating local youth to actively engage in beneficial sports activities.
