Kangpokpi: The District Administration Kangpokpi, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Hemant Kumar, IAS, launched the month-long “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” today at the Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council (SH-ADC) Conference Hall in Kangpokpi.
Speaking on the occasion of the launch of the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, the Deputy Commissioner addressed the SDOs, DLOs, CSOs, and local beneficiaries to announce a district-wide drive aimed at achieving 100% saturation of government welfare schemes. Inaugurated to commemorate 25 years of public service by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the 30-day initiative provides a dedicated platform for all government departments to showcase their benefits, chart out targeted action plans, and exert extra effort to reach eligible citizens who previously faced hurdles in accessing government assistance. The DC called upon department heads to expedite pending applications and urged all citizens to actively engage with local Sub-Divisional and District officers throughout the month to enroll in eligible schemes.
Following the launch, the Deputy Commissioner conducted an on-spot distribution of scheme benefits. Key handovers included cherry saplings by the Forest Department, farmer cards and sprayer pumps by the Agriculture Department, PM Surya Ghar assistance via MSPDCL, and keys to completed houses under Special PMAY-G.
It is worth mentioning that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan (September 17 to October 17) is a month-long public service drive designed to bring governance directly to the people and ensure no eligible beneficiary is left behind. The campaign features key activities like public diya-lighting (Aashirwad Ka Diya), cleanliness drives (Seva Mera Yogdan), and beneficiary enrolment camps (Seva Setu Abhiyan), leading up to the grand Jan Sevak Mahakumbh.
