Churachandpur: In a significant stride towards youth empowerment and community capacity building, the Assam Rifles successfully conducted a month-long Pre-Recruitment Training programme for Agniveer aspirants at Churachandpur District, Manipur. Spanning from 01 May to 31 May 2026, the comprehensive initiative aimed to hone the knowledge, aptitude, discipline and overall military readiness of the local youth, enabling them to secure meaningful employment opportunities within the Indian Armed Forces.

The structured training regime witnessed the active participation of 57 dedicated aspirants hailing from Churachandpur and its adjoining villages. To ensure thorough preparation aligned with the official Agniveer recruitment syllabus, the curriculum meticulously covered core academic areas including General Awareness, Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics, Reasoning and English Language. Beyond textbook learning, the trainers focused heavily on imparting basic military ethos, professional conduct, written communication skills and time-bound examination strategies through rigorous mock tests, group discussions, peer learning and individual mentorship.

The intensive coaching yielded outstanding results as 49 out of the 57 candidates successfully cleared the written examination, registering an impressive success rate of over 85 per cent. This remarkable outcome highlights the exceptional dedication of the trainees as well as the high standards of guidance provided by the force. By fostering the aspirations of the region’s youth and enhancing their employability, the Assam Rifles has once again strengthened its enduring bond of trust and cooperation with the local populace.
