New Delhi: Governor of Manipur Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired the Advisory Committee Meeting of Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA) held today at the Conference Hall of Lok Bhavan, Imphal. The meeting observed one minute silence as a mark of respect to eminent Gurus, including Ratan Thiyam, Khumanthem Prakash Singh, Professor N.Tombi Singh, Kshetrimayum Thouranisabi Devi etc., who passed away during the year 2025-26. Important agenda notes related to the development of the Academy were discussed in the meeting. Shri Raju Das, Secretary Sangeet Natak Academi (SNA), Sanjay Kumar Choudhary,General Council Member SNA, Gurus and officials of JNMDA attended the meeting.
Later, Dr. Sandhya Purecha, Chairman of the SNA, New Delhi, also called on the Governor at Lok Bhavan,Imphal.
