Churachandpur: On the second day of the district-wide outreach, the Churachandpur District Administration successfully conducted a large-scale Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign under the banner “Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle” to spread awareness and facilitate access to welfare schemes for tribal communities under the PM-JANMAN and DAJGUA initiatives.

The campaign was held across several locations in the district, including Misao Lhahvom Community Hall in Saikot Subdivision, Mata Community Hall in Churachandpur Subdivision, Suangdoh Village in Suangdoh Subdivision, Sangaikot Village in Sangaikot Subdivision, Sumchinvum Village in Singngat Subdivision, and Chongkhozou Village in Henglep Subdivision.

A wide range of government welfare schemes and services were provided during the programme, including Aadhaar enrolment and ration card services, Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY), caste and domicile certificates, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), PM-KISAN, Jan Dhan accounts, insurance schemes such as PMJJBY and PMSBY, social security pensions, employment and livelihood programmes including MGNREGA, PM Vishwakarma, and Mudra Loans, as well as women and child welfare initiatives like PMMVY, ICDS, and immunization services.

As part of the campaign, immunization drives and free general health check-ups were also conducted, providing basic diagnostic services and distribution of essential medicines. Adding to the initiative, the Forest Department distributed free saplings to participants. A public awareness campaign on the available welfare schemes was conducted in all the venues.
