Pherzawl: In a focused effort to strengthen grassroots governance, the District Administration of Pherzawl organised an Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign titled “Jan Bhagidaari Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle” at the district headquarters and Tipaimukh Block today.
The campaign, supervised by Sub-Divisional Officers, aimed to enhance public participation in development programmes, welfare schemes, and grievance redressal systems. By converging multiple departments on a single platform, the initiative ensured that essential services reached even the most remote sections of the population.
Officials conducted awareness sessions on flagship schemes spanning health, education, sanitation, and livelihoods, while also facilitating on-the-spot registration and verification of beneficiaries. A dedicated grievance redressal desk enabled residents to raise concerns and receive immediate assistance.
Departments such as Health, Education, PHED, Forest, and Revenue actively participated, delivering services in a coordinated manner. Special emphasis was placed on Aadhaar enrolment, AB-PMJAY, and issuance of key certificates, helping citizens access various government entitlements more efficiently.
The programme also featured a tree plantation drive and free health check-ups, with medical teams providing basic diagnostic services and distributing essential medicines.
The event drew large participation from villagers, including village chiefs, and students, many of whom appreciated the administration’s initiative to deliver services directly at their doorstep and address local issues promptly.
