Senapati: The District Administration of Senapati launched its first Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign under the Jan Bhagidaari—Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle initiative under DA-JGUA today for the Song Song T.D. Block at the Town Community Hall, Song Song.
Speaking at the event, P. Melody, Village Level Worker (VLW) for Song Song Block, highlighted the significance of the campaign. She emphasized that the initiative aims to build widespread awareness and strengthen grassroots community participation in government welfare programs. She further urged village chairmen and secretaries to actively sensitize their communities about the various government schemes tailored for tribal villages.
Representatives and experts from various line departments including Agriculture, Social Welfare (ICDS Cell), Medical, Forest, and banking institutions sensitized the attendees on key welfare schemes. Detailed briefings were provided on initiatives such as PM-KISAN, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), the importance of routine vaccination, and other department-specific programs.
The campaign also featured interactive community activities, including a plantation drive, a village transect walk, and the sharing of success stories by local beneficiaries.
Around 360 participants from 13 villages across the Song Song T.D. Block attended the IEC Campaign. Additionally, 10 stalls were set up by various line departments to provide on-the-spot services and information, where 242 persons were guided and given awareness on various schemes such as PM KISHAN, Mission Vatsalya, HPV Vaccination, PMSBY, PMJJBY etc. and also 48 persons were screened with Tuberculosis (TB) and Non- Communicable Diseases (NCDs) by Health department during the day’s campaign.
