Imphal: Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired a high-level security meeting at Raj Bhavan on Saturday, thoroughly reviewing the state’s security situation.
The discussion focused on the prevailing law and order scenario, with particular attention to the arrangements in border areas.
The Governor emphasized the importance of ensuring public safety and instructed State DGP Rajiv Singh to prioritize the protection of citizens. He also called on officers from the Army and paramilitary forces to collaborate fully with the administration to maintain law and order.
The meeting was attended by Kuldiep Singh, Security Advisor to the Government of Manipur; DGP Rajiv Singh; IGAR (South), Maj Gen Ravroop Singh; and senior officials from the CRPF and BSF.
The security meeting came a day after the Superintendent of Police of Kangpokpi district, Manoj Prabhakhar, was injured when armed militants fired at the SP office of the district.
