Imphal: On Tuesday, Water Resource and Relief & Disaster Management Minister Awangbow Newmai inspected the Imphal River’s overflow at various locations, including Kangla, Moirangkhom, Khuman Lampak, Ayangpali Road, Khurai, and surrounding areas.
This inspection aimed to prevent flooding due to continuous rainfall since Monday, which has affected parts of Manipur.
Minister Awangbow emphasized the state government’s efforts to control the flood and appealed for public cooperation in tackling the flood issues.
He was accompanied by Additional Chief Engineer (Flood) Y. Homendro Singh and other departmental officials.
