Suspects escape police checkpoint, searches launched in J&K’s Rajouri

“Three persons moving suspiciously on a motorbike fled a police check post in Thalka area of Nowshera here late evening,” police sources said, adding that they left the two-wheeler near the transit camp and fled towards the forest area.

Jammu: The joint team of police and army launched a search operation after motorbike-borne suspected persons late on Wednesday evening fled from a police check post in the bordering Nowshera area of Rajouri district.

“Three persons moving suspiciously on a motorbike fled a police check post in Thalka area of Nowshera here late evening,” police sources said, adding that they left the two-wheeler near the transit camp and fled towards the forest area.

“Army and police have launched a joint search operation,” sources added that teams are on job to ascertain the facts.

Notably, on Sunday evening four persons were killed and several others were injured in a terrorist attack in Dangri village of Rajouri district, while two minor children died and five others sustained injuries in an IED blast at the same site on Monday morning.
