Gangtok: Sikkim reported two fresh COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours, state health authorities said on Thursday.

With 45 active cases, the total number of cases has spiked to 6,235.

So far, 5,955 patients have been recuperated from the infection and the total death figure remains 135, said Sonam Bhutia, Information, Education and Communication Officer, Health Department.

The department also informed that as many as 980 health and frontline workers along with those above 42 years of age have been inoculated in a day.
