NE Olympic Games: Arunachal dominates early taekwondo events

Shillong: Arunachal Pradesh dominated the first day of the taekwondo events at the Assam Rifles Indoor Stadium in Laitkor, taking three gold medals.

The gold medallists for Arunachal were Adit Tulang (junior boys individual poomsae), Khinsan Wangsu (junior girls individual poomsae) and Radha Bangsia (senior girls individual poomsae).

Mizoram’s Daniel Lalhumthanga won the other gold in senior boys individual poomsae.

The silver medals were claimed by Assam’s Nishant Singh Hazari (junior boys), Arunachal’s Ontey Khamblai (senior boys), Mizoram’s Pansy Rampanzeli (junior girls) and Sikkim’s Chultem Palmu Bhutia.

Two bronze medals were also awarded to those in third and fourth.
