Gangtok: Panchayat Polls have started, in Sikkim on Thursday.

Voters in some booths gathered at 7am, an hour before the scheduled start time.

There were long queues of both females and males in Tathangchen, which had the highest number of voters in the ward at 1072.

There has been no photography or press allowed inside the building, although the card issued says it will be allowed after verification by the presiding officer.

The Polling has been peaceful, so far.
