Manipur logs two deaths, 48 positive cases, 91 recoveries

Imphal: Manipur reported 48 positive cases, two Covid-related death and 91 recoveries  in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Tuesday, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 48 persons who tested positive, 18 are from Imphal West, 14 from Churachandpur, 10 from Imphal East and one each from Kakching, Chandel, Kamjong, Kangpokpi and Ukhrul. Altogether, 738 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 6.5 %.

Meanwhile, 91 persons recovered, 76 from home isolation, seven JNIMS and four each from RIMS and SHRI. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.14%.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 181 out of which 1, 36,594 have recovered leaving 456 active cases in the state.

As on August 1, 2022, 12 D-type oxygen cylinders and 8 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 2, 2022 are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which 13 are occupied and 25 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which 30 are occupied and 32 are vacant.
