NESO condemns IED attack in front of school gate in Manipur

Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren had convened a Cabinet meeting on Saturday to review the increasing bomb attacks in many parts of the State. It was not disclosed what remedial measures were suggested.

Shillong: The North East Students’ Organisation (NESO), an apex body of eight influential students’ organisations of the region, on Monday condemned an IED blast at the  gate of Little Flower School in Manipur’s capital Imphal on Sunday. 

No one was injured in the attack. 

In a statement issued here, NESO chairman Samuel B. Jyrwa and Secretary General Sinam  Prakash Singh condemned this dastardly act in the strongest terms and demanded that  the Government authorities should do everything possible to bring the perpetrators to book.

“NESO is extending its full support and solidarity to the Little Flower School to move forward in whatever it is trying to achieve for the larger interest of the indigenous peoples of the state,” the NESO statement reads.
