IMD forecasts rain in Nagaland & NE

Kohima: As the entire North East India, including several ASEAN countries, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall activity to continue over Northeast India during next five days.

In the IMD bulletin on Wednesday, it was stated that fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning or gusty winds (40-50 Km/ph) was very likely over the North East region during March 31-April 2 next.

IMD predicted isolated heavy rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh likely on March 31 and April 1 next.
