Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday held the Punjab government responsible for the cancellation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit following a breach in his security and said that the Punjab government should apologise to the nation.

Yogi alleged that the manner in which the PM’s security was compromised during his Punjab visit was done under the patronisation of the Punjab government. “It’s a glaring example of anarchy and mismanagement prevailing in Punjab,” he added.

He said that the Punjab government should apologise to the nation for this shortcoming. It may be noted that the PM had to cancel his visit after a breach in his security while going to Ferozpur from Bathida in Punjab.

“The manner in which a lapse was committed in the security of the most popular leader of the country and the PM is unpardonable. This shows the collusion between Congress and the Punjab government. Punjab government must apologise to the country,” Yogi said.
