New Delhi: Assam Police on Thursday took a creative approach ahead of New Year’s Eve and uploaded a post on social media to discourage people from drinking and rash driving.
The state police department tweeted a poster that looked like an invitation: “If your New Year’s Eve plans include drunk and/or rash driving, this invitation is for you.”
“P.S (Post Script) – Stag Entry Allowed,” it added.
“This New Year’s eve, try not to be our guests. Free entry for: rash drivers, drunk drivers and other eligible violators.
“Special performance by: DJ Lockup.
“On the menu: CopCake and other dessert Items in our Custard-y,” the satire trended as netizens enjoyed the take.
While informing about location, the department said, “Your nearest police station” with a location’s sign.
